Executive Director, Aromatics

Andrew recently joined S&P Global and leads the EMEA base chemicals commodity insight team, focusing on aromatics markets. Andrew has spent the past decade in the Middle East, most recently working for QatarEnergy where he was responsible for strategy development for the marketing and sales of Qatar’s exports of fuels, petrochemical feedstocks, petrochemicals and fertilisers. Prior to this, he was a Consulting Director at IHS Markit, leading assignments in the Middle East and India covering due diligence, merger support, country master-planning, cost benchmarking and value chain strategy for a diverse set of petrochemicals.

Andrew began his career with CMAI (later acquired by IHS Markit) in London where he initially worked on single-client projects and then became responsible for aromatics market coverage and analysis for benzene, styrene and phenol in EMEA.

He has a BEng Chemical Engineering from UMIST and a MSc Engineering and Management from the University of Exeter.
