Methanol in Gray, Blue and Green

Thursday, 23 March

11:10 am - 11:30 am (CST) / 23/mar/2023 04:10 pm - 23/mar/2023 04:30 pm
Methanol is one of the world’s most widely traded petrochemicals. Today, methanol is produced from natural gas and coal. Producers are now deploying tools to reduce the carbon intensity of natural gas-based methanol, including carbon capture. We are also seeing bio-methanol and e-methanol projects entering commercial production. Since methanol is a building block for hundreds of chemical products that touch our daily lives, and an emerging energy resource particularly for shipping, methanol is uniquely positioned to help the global transition from gray to blue and green.
