Laura Robb joined the S&P Global Commodity Insights container freight desk in Houston in September 2020, covering the North American ocean freight markets, with a primary focus on Platts Container Rates for containerized imports and exports on the key North Asia to North and South America routes, as well as the trans-Atlantic trade lane. Her background is in journalism, procurement, marketing and public relations, with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas State University. Before joining SPGCI, Laura’s experience with global logistics was on the buyer side, having sourced a variety of goods from China, India, Africa, Brazil and other countries.
