Markets Editor, Chemical Week

Mark serves as the London-based Markets Editor at Chemical Week. He conducts editorial analysis and same-day written coverage of all sectors of the global chemicals industry, with a focus on energy & feedstocks; commodity chemicals & petrochemicals; ports, terminals, marine transportation & supply chains; major construction projects; energy-transition/net-zero advances; and the Europe and Middle East regions. He joined IHS Markit in 2019.

He is a business and news journalist with 35 years of experience in daily newspapers, magazines, and media relations at both regional and national levels in the UK and US.

Prior to joining IHS Markit, Mark spent 3 years as magazine editor covering the commercial regional aviation industry, and 25 years as an editor, publisher, event organizer, and business owner in the upstream offshore oil and gas industry. Before that he worked on both national and regional newspapers in the UK as a reporter.
