Michel Molinier

Director, Americas Aromatics and Derivatives

Michel Molinier has 25 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, first with Elf Atochem, then with ExxonMobil Chemical Company (EMCC), and more recently as a consultant for Axens North America. During his years at EMCC, Michel primarily worked in basic chemicals, including aromatics, olefins and methanol. Michel successively managed catalyst supply for aromatics processes, technical support for aromatics and alkylation processes, licensing technical sales, new process commercialization, partnerships development and competitive intelligence. He also supported the aromatics base business strategy through industry dynamics, forecast and situation analysis studies. Michel has co-authored 2 book chapters, 35 articles and 28 US patents. Michel holds a M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bordeaux (France), a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry from Philipps Universität Marburg (Germany) and a Certificate in Japanese Studies from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).
