Puay Koon Chia is President for Dow in Asia Pacific and is accountable for growing a $10-billion chemicals and materials science business in the region, advancing Dow’s reputation and driving the company’s priorities including sustainability and partnerships across the consumer, packaging, infrastructure and mobility segments.

She started with Dow in 1993 as lab technician and later assumed marketing, product development roles and eventually moved into sales and customer management. Puay Koon’s experience spans personal care, adhesives, construction, architectural and coating materials markets. Prior to this appointment, Puay Koon was Commercial Director for Coatings in Asia Pacific.

Puay Koon holds a master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University in the United States of America. She is based in Singapore.
