Xiaodong joined S&P Global Commodity Insights from Shanghai as Director, Aromatics APAC. She focusses on PX/PTA /polyester industry research in Asia, especially in Great China.

Xiaodong has been in petroleum and petrochemical industry for almost 3 decades. She started her career in Sinopec and has comprehensive experience in refinery and petrochemical complex which including areas of operation, technical management, engineering and planning etc. After Sinopec, she worked for 3 years with Shenghong Group, a leading private petrochemical company in China for establishment of new PTA and polyester projects and witnessed the quick development of Chinese private enterprises. Before joining S&P, she worked in Petrochemical business of BP for 16 years in various commercial roles, including market analysis and strategy, product sales, commodity procurement and trading etc.
