Manager, Asia Analytics

Zhuwei Wang is the manager of Asia oil analytics based in S&P Global Commodity Insights Beijing office, managing Asia oil analytics team to deliver short-term analytics insights. He is good at modeling cross-commodity balances globally and forecasting trade flow arbitrage incentives across different regions. Zhuwei is also an expert on China and Middle East energy sectors.

Zhuwei has been with S&P Global Commodity Insights since 2016, serving as a Senior Analyst on China oil market till 2019 and then a Lead Analyst on Middle East Oil Markets based in Dubai, UAE. Prior to that, he had been working as a principal officer at the National Energy Administration (NEA) of China, specializing in financial approval of energy projects and international energy cooperation for seven years.

Zhuwei earned a Master degree in Finance from the Renmin University of China and Dual Bachelor degrees in Arabic Literature and Accountancy from the University of International Business and Economics in China. He also completed a postgraduate program in Data Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Zhuwei is trilingual in Arabic, Chinese and English.
