Alvin joined S&P Global in September 2022 as the Director of Inorganics covering Asia Pacific. Earlier, Alvin was engaged in APAC strategic marketing at Avery Dennison. Before that, he led APAC market intelligence at Braskem where he also performed business development in solvents and kickstarted a venture based on a closed-loop plastic management platform concept he successfully pitched to the top executives. At SABIC, Alvin was the global lead for polypropylene market intelligence providing short and long-term outlooks as well as conducted market studies for several multi-billion dollars projects. Previously, Alvin was Principal Analyst at IHS (formerly CMAI) covering aromatics, authoring market reports and annual studies.
Alvin has presented at various events on petrochemical markets and sustainability. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the University of Birmingham.

Aaron is a Senior Analyst with the Platts Analytics’ Petrochemicals team. His current focus is on the petchem feedstocks and market analytics. Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights, he worked in various research houses covering both the petrochemicals and oil product markets and other corporate roles within the industry. His work experiences spanned across both the refining and petrochemicals sectors. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), holds a MSc in Applied Finance from the Singapore Management University and has a Chemical Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore.

Vipra is leading the Assets/DCP India team under the FCRS division of S&P Commodity Insights segment for the last 3 years. In her current role, she is primarily responsible for updating and maintaining the database service that provides coverage of the international chemical industry, including information about the chemical producers, their plant locations, and products. Additionally, she is also leading the quality control and quality assurance side of the data. S&P Global Commodity Insights manages a portfolio of over 21000 chemical products on DCP browser on Connect. Prior to this, she was working as a Senior Associate with Corporate Profiles GICS & Industry Classification division under the S&P Market Intelligence segment for 8 years. Dr. Shaohua Feng currently serves as Director of Polymers, Asia Pacific, S&P Global Commodity Insights. He is based in Singapore, and responsible for developing market research, analytics and insights capabilities and services for polymers and plastics with the focus on supply/demand forecasting, plastics recycling, and circular economy and sustainability in petrochemical and polymer industry. He joined IHS Markit as Director of Chemical Consulting in April 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience in petrochemical and specialty chemical industry. He spent majority of his career time with Singapore’ A*STAR, Huntsman Performance Products, Shell Chemicals and Eastman Chemical in various commercial and strategy roles – R&D, business development, product management, marketing, sales and intelligence.

Heike Held is a Research and Analysis Associate Director at S&P Global Commodity Insights, formerly IHS Markit. She is part of the inorganic chemicals, minerals and mining team and co-authors a broad range of reports for the Chemical Economics Handbook (CEH) and Specialty Chemicals Update Program (SCUP). Prior to joining IHS Markit in January 2019, Heike worked at Genentech, Inc. as R&D chemist, and at various higher education institutions. She holds a diploma in chemistry from the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Germany and a doctoral degree in chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland.

Aida Jebens authors market research studies for IHS Markit’s Specialty Chemicals Update Program (SCUP). She has more than twenty years of experience in developing and managing information and projections of manufacturing markets and technical trends. Since joining IHS in 2012, Aida has led and participated in a variety of specialty and commodity chemical projects. Her product coverage includes biocides, catalysts, corrosion inhibitors, cosmetic chemicals, electronic chemicals, lubricating oil additives, printing inks, paper chemicals, synthetic lubricants, textile chemicals, and water management chemicals. Paul has been involved in the chemical industry for 3.5 decades. His career began at Daelim Industry, a large-scale steam cracker in Korea in the early 1990s. He has been trading chemicals spanning from olefins, BTX to polymers and has worked in Beijing for 9 years in the chemical businesses. At Yeocheon NCC, he oversaw overall sales and feedstock procurements as VP and is renowned as a petrochemical veteran in Nort East Asia’s chemical industry.

Andy recently joined S&P Global Commodity Insights as a Director, based in the London office. He brings with him a wide experience of the Chemical industry from a fourteen-year career at Shell, with particular focus and expertise in Olefin Derivatives. He started his career in Shell’s Mobility business, before joining Shell Chemicals in 2012 where he subsequently held a variety of Sales, Business Development and General Management positions in their Linear Alpha Olefin, Base Chemical and Propylene Oxide product lines. His experience across - and along - value chains has given him a unique insight into integrated value, and knowledge across a broad range of derivatives and end uses such as Automotive, Building & Construction, Furnishings, Lubricants, Detergents and Solvents. He has also led projects in Digitalisation and Sustainability and has a keen interest in how these topics will shape the Chemical industry in both the near and long-term. Grace joined S&P Global Commodity Insights in Dec 2022, based in Shanghai, China. She has 17 years of experience in petrochemical consulting industry, working in Tecnon OrbiChem initially covering the polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 industry chains in Asia, there after leading the market research in China for their bespoke study business during 2012-2019. Dr. Liliana Viciu joined IHS Markit now S&P Global in 2016 bringing with her more than 10 years of advanced chemical knowledge. She works as Associate Director within the Specialty Chemicals division leading the Solvents and Surfactants (S&S) team, which analyses surfactants, household detergents and their raw materials, 1,4-butanediol chain of products, fluoropolymers, fluoroelastomers, fluorocarbons, chlorinated solvents, as well as linear alpha olefins markets. Before moving to the S&S team in August 2022, Liliana was involved with market research analysis in the field of nutrition and renewable products (bio-based chemicals, biofuels as well as feed and food ingredients). Prior to joining IHS Markit, she worked for nine years as a senior researcher and lecturer at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, in the field of the structure-properties relationship of materials science.
