President and Founder

Shannon Angielski is uniquely skilled at engaging with federal policymakers, state and local agencies, key stakeholders, and non-governmental entities to find solutions that allow progress for the energy industry.

Shannon is a leader in our Energy Transition practice where she has devoted her career to developing and advocating for clean energy and carbon management policies. She has a particular focus on the decarbonization of hydrogen, recognizing early on its significance to the success of the energy transition and potential to cut across multiple industries. She has worked to raise awareness and build support among key stakeholders, including founding and leading the Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition.

Shannon’s over 20 years of experience includes working with industrials, electric power generators, equipment suppliers, technology developers, academic interests, labor and trade associations, and environmental NGOs, in the development, implementation, and management of policy designs and advocacy strategies that have led to successful enactment of key legislation, including the new Section 45V hydrogen production tax credit that was enacted in the Inflation Reduction Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)’s Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs program, and several IIJA CCS programs including being a leading voice on the Section 45Q carbon sequestration tax credit enhancements and modifications.

As President of the Clean Hydrogen Future Coalition, Shannon leads, develops, and supports the coalition’s federal policy initiatives. She also serves as the coalition's spokesperson before federal policymakers and the media. Shannon co-leads Van Ness Feldman’s public policy practice and leads the firm’s energy transition and federal funding practices.
